led lab

i can't say enough about light emitting diodes - they are just a fantastic invention. they operate with low heat & low energy consumption but give off a fair amount of light (a white led puts out about 1.7 lumens of light to be exact). here are some examples of my current favorites for the home.....
(spiral light by robin carpenter ~ a chandelier made with 216 led's)

(outdesign's gorgeous "lenorat" ~ the led's in the base illuminate the vase & what's in it. stunning dont you think?)

(matterninc's aluminum house numbers with solar powered led lamps inside ~ they pull solar energy during the day to power the led lamps inside during the night. zero electricity consumption + they look great + they are affordable = yesss)
