bird design

(a rug called "night wings" by designer angela adams. she was first a decorative painter before turning to other mediums for her designs. her designs are known for their simplicity, uniqueness, & balance. she is inspired by images & patterns from nature, giving them a contemporary spin)

(osborne & little have some of the most gorgeous fabrics & wall covering prints i've ever seen. plus they're skilled at the art of display & presentation as well. anyone who uses a bird-like dancer to advertise their products get a big "yessss!" from me)

("birds of the open forest- dusk", a cut sculpture by su blackwell - http://www.sublackwell.co.uk/ - her work is really quite amazing)

(some adorable bird ornaments from the ornament swap i took part in this year - http://www.flickr.com/groups/holidayornamentswap2006/pool/ - in case you didn't know the world of hip young crafters is huge)
