i hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with happy adventures! here's a hint as to what mine will entail....but don't worry, i'm just the designated driver. ;o)
{top two photos by me in sonoma; last photo from the far niente website of the oldest known bottle of wine in california}
Cool...you can't go wrong with Far Niente wines...it's a very well regarded wine...unlike any other California winery, they brought in their oak barrels from France...already aged...
I don't speak Italian...but their "saying" is "dolce far niente"...which I think means something like "it's sweet/good to do nothing"...or "the sweetness of doing nothing"...
thanks for introducing me to far niente, darling alex. i couldn't agree more that there certainly is sweetness in doing nothing....i can't even tell you how much i wish america had the same siesta habits as our southern european friends do.
hi karey! yes it was dreamy ~ i loved every minute of it. if i could afford it i'd move up there in a heartbeat. i did have a few sips of some of my fave wines, but very few. i was good girl. ;o)
hi tara ~ yes, it was a wonderful time and when you are here we shall go together! i think you will really enjoy riding around wine country in the mini with the sun roof open & sweet wine on your lips. :o)
sharing passions and inspirations {dance & design mostly, but also some of my favorite things that add value to my life} ~ blogging is an exchange that i've learned to appreciate very much, so i hope you'll share along with me.
